What $23 got me!!

One of the first "dates" my husband and I went on was to the Lawn and Garden show in Wichita! Now every year we take our 2 kids with Gramma and Grampa. This years theme was perfect for my kids!

His favorite thing in the world used to be dinosaurs but he was pretty scared and did not want to stand that close to this triceratops!
I really had to hurry to even get this shot because he was ready to run!
Rapter Eggs!! Nature found a way!!
Jude with Grampa.
Jude with Gramma. "Hey what's that in the bushes?"
Clever Girl.

Yeah, this is inside!!

I wish this was my front yard.
And finally my favorite "tree". I think it's a tree. There is one at Tabor I might have to go steal!! Not really. But the show is always a lot of fun especially if you like to take photos! There are always the most amazing gardens.

sock monkies are all the rage. (is that how you spell monkies?)

I was out and spotted these 3 sock monkeys and thought they would sure be cute in the nursery I am eventually going to put together. I won't let my 2 boys play with them... They are too rough!!

But I will let them take pictures with them.

He want to Dr. Seuss and yes at 1 in the afternoon he is still in his jammies. That is what Saturdays are all about!
He gave me this beautiful photo.

This is actually how he usually looks with his nose all curled up.

Now that he is all dressed for the day we tried a few more. He loves having his picture taken. I am finding out that he loves to see each photo right after it is taken.

I am also realizing that I should have been taking more of him. I hardly have enough photos of him.

Baby J.

So it turns out that I have know Baby J.'s daddy ever since I was Baby J's age! Our parents are still very close friends. I was so happy when her mommy asked me to photograph her and her brothers.
Mommy and I had the funnest time getting those little eyes to sparkle.
She was such a good girl.

Photos just don't do it justice

yesturday afternoon

last night around 9

Before dark.

Wow, let's see how high the snow gets .

This is how they looked this morning!

Like I said, photos don't do justice. This is of the back yard where it got the deepest. It is much more impressive in real life.

Teaming up with a stylist!!

My clients truely are the best in the world!

And I am proud to have this portrait, that I created of Vicki Kay's son, on display at Vicki Kay's new salon in Marion Kansas! I am also thrilled with the quality of service I recieved when I asked her to cut and style my hair. I like a little less traditional and a little more rock star so Vicki Kay and I get along great!
Vicki Kay's Salon is easy to find on the main drag in Marion. Stop in next time you need a new do. I am also thrilled to be teaming up with Vicki Kay in creating Wedding Packages that include Wedding Photography and Hair Styling (even tanning) for those Brides who want it all without all the work!

I highly recommend Vicki Kays. Run in and when you do, let her know I sent you!!

The Best Coffee Shop in Town!

When it is cold outside the thing I think of is a steamy mug full of something rich and creamy. Marissa at Little Pleasures always has just what I need. And she is only a few blocks away right in the heart of downtown Hillsboro!
But drinks aren't the only thing Marissa specializes in. She also has a lunch menu with items that are made with the freshest ingredients, including soups, salads, and sandwiches! It is the perfect atmosphere for meeting friends for a quick lunch.
Marissa has always been such a generous business-woman. From the beginning of my business venture she has allowed me to display my work in her coffee shop! So next time you need a quick, healthy lunch, or a Grande Caramel Iced Latte with extra whip, go check out Little Pleasures. And while you are there check out my display. And tell Marissa I sent you!!
